Tenncare Connect: As you might have heard, TennCare Connect is the new TennCare self-service web portal. By simplifying and streamlining the eligibility process for applicants, members, and partners, it will help the 1.3 million Tennesseans covered by TennCare to manage their accounts and make it easier to apply for and receive TennCare benefits. Applicants and members can create an account on the TennCare Connect website by using this link: www.tenncareconnect.tn.gov. Once they create an account, members and applicants will be able to:
Applicants and members will also be able to download the TennCare Connect Mobile App from either Apple iTunes or Google Play, which will allow them to conveniently manage their benefits from their mobile device once they have been approved for TennCare coverage.
What about healthcare.gov? Although individuals can always apply at healthcare.gov, TennCare asks that all walk-in clients now apply directly to TennCare Connect so TennCare can receive the application faster. They can apply online at the website listed above, by paper application, or by phone. To apply by phone, call TennCare Connect (formerly known as Tennessee Health Connection) at 1-855-259-0701. Renewals can also be completed online at TennCare Connect or by calling the TennCare Connect call center.
Complex Communication Needs: invitation to participate in a survey on communication systems and AAC services. The goal is to gather information on the challenges and highlights faced by individuals with complex communication needs and their families. Parents and Caregivers of Youth with Disabilities: invitation to participate in a 20-minute survey on the needs of your child with disabilities (ages 14-22) preparing for future jobs, training, or college after high school. Fifty parents or caregivers who complete the survey will be sent a new resource on how to support your child’s transition to college or the workplace.
